BHOPAL: A 36-year-old divorced woman has approached Misrod police station and alleged that she was gang-raped by her two younger brothers around eight months back.
She said she stayed quiet all this while because her parents beat her and threatened her not to go to police. Misrod police have registered a case of gang-rape against the brothers and booked the parents for criminal conspiracy.
Police said that the woman’s mother had filed a complaint on charges of harassment, assault and extortion against her on August 22, following which she was arrested and produced in court. The woman’s mother alleged in her complaint that she was demanding that the family’s house should be transferred in her name and Rs 10 lakh each from both the brothers.
SHO Misrod Niranjan Sharma said that the survivor in her complaint stated that she is separated from her husband and divorce proceedings from her second husband are pending before the court.
